Showries is where people talk about what they have just watched. For that to work, a few rules apply to everyone.
The spoiler rule
In the app experience, an episode thread opens after you mark that episode as watched. Inside, you can talk freely about it. If you are about to reveal something that happens later, use Contains spoilers. Ruining a story for other people may lead to content or account removal.
Not allowed
- Harassment and hate: personal attacks, threats or slurs against people or groups based on ethnicity, religion, gender, orientation or disability.
- Explicit sexual content or gratuitous violence.
- Spam: advertising, scam links, chain posts or accounts made to inflate numbers artificially.
- Impersonation: pretending to be another person, organisation or company.
- Illegal content or links to pirated material.
- Unmarked spoilers outside the appropriate context.
If someone crosses the line
Long-press a comment, review or post and choose Report. Once submitted, the content is hidden from your view and the report reaches Showries. You can also block the author; neither of you will see the other’s content. Blocked users are managed in Settings.
What we do
We review reports and, depending on severity, may remove content, suspend an account or close it. If you believe a decision was wrong, write to hello@showries.com and ask us to review it again.
